Repost from Facebook

A common protest chant today among Democratic protesters: “White Silence Equals Violence.” The idea is that by failing to speak out against racist violence, you are condoning it. As it turns out, I strongly agree.
When Democrats failed to speak out against Barack Obama’s 8 years of War in the Middle East, that was condoning it.
When Democrats failed to speak out against Obama’s violent war on drugs, which destroys lives, that was condoning it.
As Commander in Chief, Obama could have brought all troops home immediately. As President, he could have pardoned all nonviolent drug users. He chose to do neither.
Where were Democratic protesters then? Was their “silence” not “violence”?
